You must attend both sessions to receive credit for taking the class. Emergency Preparedness and Response in Child Care - The new Emergency Preparedness and Response in Child Care Training gives early educators information and tools to prepare for many types of emergencies. The EPR in Child Care addresses new NC Child Care Rules on emergency preparedness, current best practice recommendations, and guidance on completing the online EPR Plan. Participants in this workshop will establish a plan and learn how to be prepared for a variety of emergency situations. Class size is limited to 12 participants.

Art & is a series of art demonstrations and community discussions led by professionals from all disciplines and backgrounds. Each workshop will be different and will focus on the connections between the visual arts and topics that affect and enrich our everyday lives and community. For this event, professional artist Linda Weaver, a specialist in portraiture in various mediums, will be brought in to educate the public on the dynamics of creating a portrait and the diversity of our community. This first workshop will take place in the Womble Carlyle Gallery of the Milton Rhodes for the Arts on February 2nd at 6 pm. This free event is open to all members of the community, regardless of their age or artistic experience. Join AAWS for an art demonstration and gallery talk focusing on the many complex aspects of portraiture and its role in our society!
