Back by popular demand, Bookmarks will present our 5th Annual Movable Feast featuring 25 authors from across the country. Every table will hear from 10 authors for 10 minutes each. Opportunities for informal discussion with all the authors will begin at 2 p.m. when doors open, and will also follow the Movable Feast at 5 p.m., along with book sales and booksignings. Light refreshments and Raffaldini Wine will be served. Admission is by ticket only: General Admission tickets are $45 each (includes tax and service fee) General Admission tickets for a table of 8 are $320 per table (includes tax and service fee) Sponsored tables of 8 are $500 per table. For much of the 20th century, eugenics was a widely-accepted practice in the U.S., endorsed by the Supreme Court in the 1927 Buck v. Bell decision. Thirty states sterilized citizens with the aim of reducing poverty and getting rid of the unfit. North Carolina ran one of the most aggressive eugenics programs, sterilizing more than 7,600 men, women and children between 1933 and 1974. The State of Eugenics follows the journey of survivors, legislators, and journalists working together to obtain compensation for the survivors of these injustices. Following the screening, Professor Melissa Harris-Perry will moderate a panel comprising the film s director producer Dawn Sinclair Shapiro, former chair of the Governor s Task Force on Compensation Dr. Laura Gerald, Winston-Salem Journal editorial-page editor John Railey, journalist Tommy Tomlinson, and former N.C. Representative Larry Womble.

The Stay Together Program Dog Help Team About the Program The Stay Together Program is a free program, offered monthly, to people who have adopted a dog or cat from the Forsyth County Animal Shelter, as well as the general public. The goals of this program include helping pet owners with the transition and responsibility of bringing a new pet into their home. The STP program also wishes to help owners deal with behavior issues that may lead them to consider giving up their beloved pet. Puppy troubles? Older dog problems? Dog won t listen? Need to introduce a new dog into your home? The DOG HELP TEAM is made up of experienced dog trainers and enthusiasts with years of experience and expertise on dog health and behavior issues.
