The entire Maple Springs community is invited to come join us for our annual Christmas Caroling! We will meet for a pizza dinner. Following the meal, we will split into groups to spread some holiday cheer through caroling. Sign up via the church bulletin or by emailing Susan Foster (susanefoster@gmail.com). Donations will be accepted for the pizza meal.

5. Let It Show! Reception Featuring Updog Kombucha

Let it Show! is an end of the semester celebration featuring a selection of student works. The exhibition features a wide range of student works from class assignments to personal projects and also encompass a variety of different media including oil painting, drawing, sculpture, mixed media, and photography. This year, we will be partnering with UpDog Kombucha for our last reception of the semester! START is proud to support all student creative endeavors on campus and we are excited to bring UpDog to the gallery. We will not only have kombucha for those under 21, but will also be making kombucha cocktails for those looking for an added kick! All visitors at the opening will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite artworks. The votes will determine which three are the crowd favorites. The creators of these pieces will receive a prize. As always, we will have free food and some extra special holiday desserts!

7. Project Re-entry: From Stigma To Acceptance

In coordination with our temporary exhibition, Release: From Stigma to Acceptance, we are hosting a discussion featuring staff from Project Re-Entry along with Wake Forest University Professor Lisa Blee and members of her student group that developed the exhibition. Project Re-Entry assists former offenders throughout various stages of the criminal justice process offering programs designed to meet the needs of individuals re-adapting to life following a prison sentence. Release challenges our preconceived notions about former offenders.
