To volunteer, register at: http: vols.pt HPYvRz This is one of the most rewarding volunteer opportunities you ll ever experience, and one of the most worthy causes to which you may contribute. During the 26th Annual Christmas Cheer project we will take 60 local, disadvantaged children shopping for gifts for themselves and their families. The children will also have the opportunity to eat breakfast, have their picture taken with Santa, and enjoy an activity! We need volunteers to shop with children, wrap presents, and accompany the children to the activity. (Volunteer shifts vary from 8:15am to 2:30pm - see link for details) Any questions regarding the project can be directed to Renee Anne Parker or Brittani Swinford at christmascheer@wsjaycees.org. Sharon Reiss is coordinating the volunteers for 2016 We are also in need of funding for this project. They put on the uniform and badge every day to serve and protect the communities in which we live. On Sunday evening, December 4, (6 pm), Ray Flynn Ministries and Joy FM will present the Blue Christmas concert at Peace Haven Baptist Church in Yadkinville, NC. The concert will feature the multi-award winning group The Isaacs, and Emily Ann Roberts from NBC television show The Voice 2015. Many songs from The Isaacs s new project produced by football great and Gospel music fan, Terry Bradshaw will be performed. During the event, we will recognize our men and women of law enforcement as well as first responders. NO TICKET is required for this event and admission is absolutely FREE!
