1. City With Dwellings 2016-17 It Is Hard To Believe...

City with Dwellings 2016-17 It is hard to believe that in just 4 weeks the City with Dwellings Overflow Shelters will open the doors to our 5th season! As some of you already have discovered the City with Dwellings Overflow Sign-up link is now live! (http: signup.com go ipFApA). We are using the same software as last year with Volunteerspot (they changed their name to SignUp.com). If you created an account last year, the log-in info should be the same. You can also sign-up through the City with Dwellings website citywithdwellings.org Our Shelters Augsburg Men s Shelter Signup Now or by contacting Tiffany Woods (336-306-0301) or email tiffany@anthonysplot.org The Augsburg location will only be accepting clothing donations of NEW underwear, t-shirts, & socks. We will also supply our men with toiletries, waterproof gloves, scarves, and hats. Any other clothing donations and requests from our guests will be re-directed to local clothing closets who have a system in place that is much more effective for these items than the Overflow Shelter can be. Volunteer Opportunities Nightly December 1-March 31st are: Goodie Bags Volunteer Drop off in the church office before 4:30 p.m. FLC 7:00-9:30 p.m. Food for 23 Preparing goodie bags is a popular volunteer option for parents, our Women s Fellowship, the youth, and older members of our congregation who wish to be involved. These can be dropped off with the church office before 4:30 p.m. or at the Family Life Center between the hours 7:00 p.m.- 9:30 p.m. and should be labeled with the date. Please specify if the sandwiches need to be refrigerated. These will be distributed as guests are departing the following morning and are often eaten for breakfast or lunch. Suggestions: Sandwich, chips, small sweet snack, fresh fruit, applesauce, soft granola bars, bottle of water. Non-perishables also work well such as (ravioli with the pop-top can (please include utensil). Please remember that many of our guests do not have regular access to dental care or medical care and may have difficulty eating hard fruits and more sugary items. We ask that you keep them peanut free and pack them in plastic gallon ziploc bags as these are more durable than the traditional brown bag. Meal Volunteer 7:15 p.m.-9:00 p.m. Food for 30 Please arrive by 7:15 p.m. ready to set up your meal. You may drop off at the portico entrance of the Family Life Center.

Black Nativity, written by Langston Hughes, is an electrifying rendition of the Christmas story told with an infusion of gospel music, dance and spoken word. The director and choreographer is Broadway veteran Mabel Robinson.
